Our mission is to provide comprehensive emergency preparedness resources and support to help the general public respond effectively in preparation for natural disasters in Washington state.
Project Timeline

Project History
The University of Washington Health Sciences Library, together with the WA Department of Health, was awarded a grant by the National Library of Medicine to create the Response and Recovery App in Washington (RRAIN Washington). It was originally designed to offer Washington State emergency-responders (healthcare workers, police, firefighters) access to disaster information and resources from trusted organizations like the National Library of Medicine, WA Department of Health, and the CDC. The project has since then broadened its scope to include general consumers and the public.
